One of the hardest parts of coming to terms with my disability and how it affects my style is not being able to wear as many earrings as I want. I have seven piercings in my ears (three in each lobe, one cartilage piercing) but my disabilities mean I am super sensitive to any metal not silver or gold (fun fact, silver has anti-bacterial properties). And my immune system overreacts whenever I change my earrings. So I have to wear practical studs or hoops that I can wear continuously and can't wear fun fishhook earrings like these four that I made. However, I instead just make earrings for other people; it's at least a little bit of a creative outlet even if I can't wear them myself.
