I made this wrap skirt out of a remnant because I needed a skirt for warm summers but that could be acceptable for work. Because it's black it helps make it more acceptable for business casual. The fabric is a woven cotton, similar to quilting fabric. It has seam pockets on both sides. I used loops of bias tape and buttons as closures.

Czech glass beads are some of the most beautiful beads in the world. I made this necklace using the same technique that is used to string pearls, knotting in between each bead. I think I got the beads at a fair.
I really love the Nic and Zoe Four Way Cardigan so I decided to make my own except with a hood (always be prepared). I used a cheap knit that I bought from Walmart. It snags easily but it was good for a first pass. I used a regular cardigan pattern, doubled the width of the lower edge and then made the neckline a wrap style. These convertible pieces are so great for travel. They only take up the space in your luggage of one piece but you can wear them so many times.
