I'm big on comfortable shoes. When you have to walk around a lot but work in an environment that wants business wear or business casual, comfortable shoes that meet the dress code can be hard to find (especially on a tight budget). I used to buy my shoes from Payless before they went out of business because their dexflex and Comfort Plus worked pretty well. But I have also bought numerous pairs of Crocs (for real) over the years. A few that I still have are below. Please be patient as this is my first time taking shoe-fies. These are probably my easiest Crocs to wear to work. The heel is a bit high for me (around 2.5") and the toe is a bit more pointed than I prefer, but they feel better than other shoes I've tried. These are the floral print version of the basic wedge above. It's great for when I accidentally put together a boring, only neutral colors outfit and need to add interest before I walk out the door. I've had this specific pair for several years so they are no longer available but there is usually a slightly more interesting version of the basic wedge available. These are my floral slingbacks. These are great for transitional weather because I can wear them with nylons or tights if it's cold but I can wear them without socks if it is hot. Plus they are closed toe, which a lot of work places require. This specific pair is not available anymore but there is usually a basic black or navy version available as well as a floral printed version.

Someone taught me how to tie knots in between pearls and other beads. It makes such a difference when I make beaded jewelry. You can see the difference in the second picture. The knots allow the beads to move smoothly and like string. The knots also mean that the beads won't fall all over the floor if the string breaks.
I love reversible clothes. It's like getting two pieces in one. Here is a knit skirt I made that is reversible. I used two thin knits, one dark blue and the other tan stripes. The pockets are functional patch pockets. The waistband is purple and exposed elastic. This skirt nearly always goes with me when I travel. The two knits I used were on the thin side (both were sheer by themselves) but next time I think I would use a slightly more sturdy knit.
