I made this necklace using two of my favorite colors, purple and green. I did put knots between each bead but mostly to highlight the different sizes and shapes of the beads.

One of the hardest parts of coming to terms with my disability and how it affects my style is not being able to wear as many earrings as I want. I have seven piercings in my ears (three in each lobe, one cartilage piercing) but my disabilities mean I am super sensitive to any metal not silver or gold (fun fact, silver has anti-bacterial properties). And my immune system overreacts whenever I change my earrings. So I have to wear practical studs or hoops that I can wear continuously and can't wear fun fishhook earrings like these four that I made. However, I instead just make earrings for other people; it's at least a little bit of a creative outlet even if I can't wear them myself.
This necklace is similar to the blue pearl necklace except the pearls are baroque shape (well, and purple). I also strung this one using knots in between each pearl.
One of my favorite beads to work with is cat's eye stones. The shine, the interesting (but not too busy) pattern. I've made at least two chokers using cat's eye beads. I like chokers for cat's eye because I prefer not to use a pendant as the pendant detracts from the cat's eye. The yellow one is made with tiger's tail thread and the purple one is made with monofilament. One of these days, I might restring the purple one and knot in between each bead but sometimes I just don't have the time. This necklace is made with lavender and purple semiprecious stones. I only placed knots between every fifth bead. I sometimes do that when I want some additional protection in case the string breaks but I'm too tired to place knots between each bead.
